Astrologically, the following happens: the 2nd nodal opposition, the 1st progressed lunar return, & a big Jupiter square.

If one gets thru all of that, then the "crowning" phase is the Saturn return at 29-30 which marks one as a full adult.

The 2nd nodal return is literally when the moon's north node is opposite to the position of the one you were born with.

The north node of the moon signifies the karmic life lesson and soul connections that one is here to learn as to grow as a soul.

As I shared a few weeks ago, your chart progresses as you progress. So if we represent 1 day after ur birth as 1 year, we progress ur chart

So 27-28 days after you were born, the moon came back to the position it was in when you were born. We can imagine those days as years.

Hence, at 27-28 years old, you reach a different level of maturity as indicated by the moon. Life announces an emotional initiation then.

That doesn't mean that you ARE emotionally mature as much as life has created enough time and space for you to BE emotionally mature.

At 27-28 is the real challenge to be emotionally mature, but we may not be up to the challenge.

Then there's the Jupiter square that happens at the 27. I call this phase "The Struggle to Answer the Call." The call came at 23-24.

At 27, Jupiter has a 90 degree angular relationship to the Jupiter that was in the sky when you were born.

This is a time when you are likely to harness the lessons you gleaned from your Jupiter return 3 years prior. #27

It is not an easy time as you push to fulfill your aspirations and play out your life lessons in the arena weve highlighted. #27

It is equally possible that thedemands of life may be too overwhelming that you “refuse” the call. #27

This also maycause tensions & crises to surface in your life, such as problems on the job or thegnawing desire to get away from it all. #27

This desire may not be literal as much as your very own soul seeking some space to put into the practice the lessons it came to learn. #27

So a lot happens at 27, so I'm not surprised that we've lost many notable musicians at that age.

A student of mine pointed out one interesting thing about the ppl in the 27 club tho: All of them were mutable signs except #Joplin

The mutable signs are Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo and Pisces. Joplin was a #Capricorn.

Amy was contending with a lot in her chart. She had Mars weighing down on her moon and Neptune, her nodal opposition & everything else.

I suspect that had she lived that she may have had to walk away from how her life worked at 29-30, at her Saturn return.

She needed a spiritual anchor and I suspect couldn't find one. The mutable signs more than the others need SOMETHING they can believe in.

That's why I never clown Prince for being a Jehovah's Witness.I don't have to understand,but they're prolly the reason why he's still here.

@Nikkiloop But his religious conversion struck me as odd as he didn't seem to need somebody else's sense of Spirit. But maybe he does.

@Nikkiloop Exactly, I agree. He's also studied philosophy. Was a big fan of Nietzsche 2. But he needed another kind of anchor I guess.
